Love is like video games.
So, last night, my charming husband is trying to get me away from the computer. Neither of us was hungry, and we've seen a lot of movies lately, so we were looking for other options. I suggested we purchase Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II, as we'd played the first one together several times. He seemed unenthusiastic, which is unlike him when it comes to video games, so I asked him what the problem was, and he said:
In other news, Himself is now upstairs, watching the first season of The Office, which I can't join him in enjoying because even the virtual presence of the David Brent character is too repugnant to bear. I am, however, delighted to hear that Martin Freeman (who plays the show's only likeable character) has been cast as Arthur Dent in the upcoming movie of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. He'll be fabulous.
These two things are related (really!) through (a) the involvement of Himself and (b) the fact that my first and forever favorite video game ever was the HHGG Infocom text adventure. God, I loved that game.
So, basically, it's a lazy saturday, I have PMS, and I cant' quite wake up. So. Useless brainshare.
"I just hate when we're somewhere, and you keep not seeing the exit, when I'm like 'There it is! There it is!' and you're all looking around you and like, 'oooh shiny!' and then I'm dead."Sadly, this is a microcosm of our day-to-day interactions. Complete spacecase teamed up with detail-oriented safety nut. Welcome to my marriage.
